Dear Angels,
This is my online journal of angel discoveries. My writings here should be a combination of what I have learned from prayer, dreams, telepathic projection, the spiritual gift of knowledge, and what I feel the archangel helps me to understand about being an angel.

Names
1. Names are very important in heaven. Never tell someone your whole, complete, name if you don't trust them. I have posted the names I had in my first life on heaven in the title, but I have other names and titles as an angel and I didn't give my legal, human name. Some angels can use abilities/spells that make it safe to tell their name to a untrusted party.
2. It's common in heaven that angels are often named after something precious or have a meaning that refers to a virtue or a has something to do with light (like a name that means "moon" or "stars"). Angels with more than one name will be called the name pertaining to light by most of their friends and family. If an angel with more than one name has a love interest, that partner will often call them by the precious name.
3. Angels can have names from languages around the world, not just European or English names. They don't just have Hebrew or Islamic names either. If a language is relatively unchanged since the Tower of Babel days, it's likely that it came from heaven as opposed to evolving from previous Earthly languages.

2. Physical Characteristics of Unfallen Angels
I don't think of different types of angels, ideally, as races so much as spirits who have different characteristics or traits. I think the notion of races gives too much potential for divisive thinking and it's better to consider angelic beings as having traits.
That being said, many of the fantasy races such as elves, fairies, merfolk, etc., I believe, are inspired by traits that angels have or had in addition to wings and halos. From what I understand, angels differ not only in wing type, but also in whether their ears are animal or fantasy being based as opposed to being humanoid and whether they have other non-humanoid features. There are angels who can change legs into a mertail for swimming, angels with cat ears, angels with a unicorn horn, angels with elven ears, lamb eared angels, angels with reindeer antlers, and more I haven't discovered. Angels with a unicorn horn may have elven ears (elvicorn angel), cat ears (catticorn angel, exclusive to the 3rd generation), or lamb ears (lambicorn angel, only 2 in current existence).
Of course, angels can also have humanoid ears and many can shapeshift or may have more than one select form their spirit can take on. Angels don't need to see each other as looking the same. They can recognize people they know miraculously as spirits, even if they are in a spirit form unfamiliar to each other.
I believe humans can become angels, but a once human angel is called a Saint Angel. Saint Angels are made in the image of God more so than angels with extra characteristics. Their spirits do not have magical abilities, but they can do supernatural things with their faith. This is not magic, since it works on the faith principle (like a miracle), and not on just wishing, wanting, or by a supernatural ability/skill set. Humans and Saint Angels also do not reincarnate or return to any fallen planet/world (like Earth) after they go to heaven. This is compensation for valuing being made in the image of God more than having magical abilities in their spirits. Other unfallen angels may return to Earth in human form or otherwise to help others. It is frowned upon for a powerful or magical angel to remain in a paradise for too long, while there are problems elsewhere in the universe.

3. Wing Types
Here's what I know about angel wings:
Not all angel wings look the same. Many of the bird species of the Earth have wings that reflect different angel wings (except some, like buzzards and other birds who eat dead/rotting things. These are excluded). Most angels are known to have white wings, but some have peacock wings or cardinal wings. Blackbirds also bear the honor of emulating angel wings, but in heaven, wearing black is frowned upon unless it only looks black because most angels can't see it (ultra violet and certain other heavenly-based colors may have properties that make them only visible to some people). I believe the true color of blackbird angel wings is hinted at in the iridescent blue highlights that shine when the feathers are caught in the sun.
Most angels with white wings feel the way about their wings as people feel about teeth: maintaining the shiniest whitest color for their own wings is most desirable. This is probably because as an angel falls, whether the wings were colorful or white, the feathers will darken before falling off and becoming bat-like.
Another wing type many people who study angels know about is the seraph's wings. Seraphim are angels with 6 wings or 3 sets of wings.

4. Me?
A little about me. My original name from my first life in heaven was Crystal Selena Soleil. God often called me Dove or Crystal. Most angels knew me as Selena, though that is not my legal name here. My soulmate back then referred to me as "Swan," like a term of endearment.
My wings are white with sparkles. When they are folded, they look like dove wings and shape like the two halves of a heart. If I expand them, they transform into swanlike wings. The dove wings have white diamond, gemlike sparkles. The swan wings sparkle like a rainbow crystal.
I have a golden unicorn horn in spirit form, but my ears are humanoid. A female angel with humanoid ears and a unicorn horn coming from the center of the top of her head is called a unicorn angel (the male variation is an alicorn angel). My skin and hair have tiny starlike sparkles. My eyes used to be entirely golden (not the white part), but now, their irises are mostly crystal blue and cerulean, having gold in the places that shine the most.
