Hello, everyone!
My name is Halo (it's a nickname I've had since middle school so I'll use it here), I'm 20 years old, I love drawing, singing, writing, poetry, video games, and acting, and I've known about being angelkin for about seven years (though I didn't know the name for it until yesterday!). I have a very close relationship with my guardian angel, Evangeline, whom I first met as a character I "created" in middle school who made herself known to me. Now I realize she's very much a part of me. She is a Healer for the soldiers of Heaven, or you might call her a "battlefield medic"... wow, that sounds weird to say as if it's fact (I'm so used to introducing Evangeline as "my character" except to those select few I've chosen to trust with the information that she's real). But it is. Fact, I mean.
I've had chronic back pain for as long as I can remember, and two knots between my shoulder blades that never go away (anyone who rubs my back can feel them, too...they mystify people!). In high school, I had a friend who told me it was where my wings grew, and it all made sense. In addition, I've been told by my friends who introduced me to the knowledge of other Planes and encouraged me to embrace them that I have healing powers. People who receive my massages certainly seem the better for it.
The weird thing is, though, I'm not interested in going into medicine. I'm too upset by the sight of gore and things, LOL. I prefer to heal through the things I create, or just my touch.
Anyway, I didn't know about the otherkin community until yesterday. I thought I was a weird, unique experience and if there were others like me (besides the friends from high school who helped me awaken but from whom I have drifed apart), I would never know them. I'm so relieved and happy to find I'm not alone. Being Angel has not been easy for me, but it's also beautiful and wonderful and it hurts sometimes not being able to share it with my loved ones.
