I'd assume Dark is a mis-term for Fallen. Honestly I disagree with "dark" Angel almost as much as I disagree with the distinction of "Holy" Angel, but not nearly so much as I vehemently am baffled by the notion of "Azure."
How I see it: There are Angels, these are in the service of the Creator. Then there are Fallen, which are those Angels no longer in service, for any number of reasons. That's it.

In my case, I call myself a Dark Angel because while I never Fell, nor was ever in the service of any form of deity to begin with, I seem to bounce back and forth between sides depending on the balance of things, and sometimes just based on which side I think is right.

Which side is "Dark?"
Very few individuals go out and do things they truly believe are evil. Once you start talking about light and dark as "sides," you get into trying to define what makes one light and what makes one dark, and subsequently, what is good and what is bad.
There are many Angels in the service of the Creator who one might define as very, very dark, let's say those plagues of Egypt, or how about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse? They however are just doing their jobs, and thus I define them as Angels.
There are many Fallen who are just chill people, they who felt that what they were doing in the service of the Creator, or what the Creator was having others do in their service was wrong, and so they left to go and do things they felt better on their own time and guidance. They are Fallen, but they are not by any stretch of terms, evil.

-nod- basic explanation of good/evil being matters of perspective. i'd like to read some more post before inserting my beliefs...though i would like to add the question of whether [you perceive that] there is an innate 'vibrational' (vibe) difference from those who would align with 'holy' as compared to 'dark' (or in kareshi's terms 'fallen' and 'not fallen')....if so then what?

I would not say that dark angels are unholy....I'm dark but I sure as hell have not fallen from my own god's embrace. I would definitely say the difference between a dark angel and a light angel would definitely be the feel of energy. Those angels related to Christian/Judaism being the most apparent.

I do find a very different feel in the energy between an Angel and a Fallen Angel, I would evidence by the connection to the Creator. Angels have it while Fallen have theirs severed at the time of Falling.
I don't believe that Angels in the Judeo-Christian paradigm are the only ones who have this, I believe that all Angels are under the same deity, and that Angels that are not and never were in the service of the Creator are not Angels, but rather are Celestials which is a more broad term for divine servants and beings. Also I believe that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are perceptions of people on who the Creator is and what the Creator wants, not that one religion made that deity and made it what it is.

Not particularly, it is just a statement that I believe all Angels come from the same Creator, and that Angels are a specific type of Celestial. Beings that would otherwise be similar to Angels but do not serve or were not created by that same entity are a different type of Celestial.
Also it is allowing the idea of "the Creator" to go beyond the narrow-minded view of those Judeo-Christian faiths that seek to hammer out exactly what God is. I actually prefer the Hindu version of Brahman, makes a lot more sense.

to me "dark" is simply a personality... there are "light" personalities, where the person (not just angels and whatnot) are generally happy, bouncy, don't have a bad temper, are in love with life, and always try to share their "light" with others.... "dark" personalities are those where the person is not happy constantly, generally more morbid and not so bouncy (though some may be)... they do not always try to share their "darkness" with others, but sometimes may....
then there are those who are neither...
this is where I believe the different "feels" come into play, obviously someone who has a "dark" personality is going to feel different than one of "light"
as far as angels go, fallen being "dark" and loyal being "light," I've met fallen who are just act just as "light" as some loyal, and some loyal who are just as "dark" as many fallen....
