What are your thoughts on viewing one's self in the astral? I've found that there are several layers one exists on in the astral, which makes it easyer to hide, and survive the harsh environment of the astral, if ever you were dragged into it. In myself I've sussed out several layers: Physical, male, female, weaver/base origin energy, core/soul and seraph. Do others view this when they see themselves?

I am always wary about things in the Astral as so much of it is based on one's own imagination. A person might fully and strongly believe that they are a Llama, and therefore appear and see themselves as a Llama.
I believe I have a few layers... who I am now, and what lies beneath the Human body. The two are very similar, yet different. These personas have been compared by several of my friends to fictional characters that they resemble the most. As myself here in this life, they compare me and my values to Captain America, I'm a hardcore conservative with high morals and values and the same level of loyalty to both friends and what is right. And then when Terro is more apparent, they see a person very akin to the character Cable from the X-men continuations.

A person might fully and strongly believe that they are a Llama, and therefore appear and see themselves as a Llama. Beware el Yyama! xD. And I see what you're saying. To me, I never try to actively influence what I see (which is VERY dangerous if you're being influenced by outside sources. I've gotten to the point where I can tell if someone is actively affecting me, so what I've seen in recent years is very accurate. And actually if you see yourself as a llama, following your example, then that llama represents a part of you. Like when i was really into inner animals: My inner male is a stag, while my inner female is a fox. I learned that the reason I saw stag so much more than fox when looking at my gender layers was becuase stag espoused the qualities I value (valor, strength, the ability to love unconditionally, mercy, patience, and etc) where as fox does not (desire, manipulative, cunning, vicious, sexy) While I do like the sexy bit, I don't like what fox in the forefront does to me. I try to keep them as balanced as possible so that I don't get hurt being too much like stag and don't turn into a first class prat with fox. I see the layers as representations of me (much like that thing I mentioned about my real name meaning Helena Prince instead of Helena prince being my "real name")

I've only seen myself in two different ways - a slender, elegant being with 12 pairs of "tie-died" black and white wings and bright blue eyes with slitted pupils, and then the same with pure black wings, with eyes the same, though sometimes showing ruby red instead of bright blue.
While I feel I have been on many different "layers", my appearance never changes other than the above, and clothes, if I'm even wearing them. I'm always female, always have the same hair, and same body... I seem to have a marking of some sort on the back of my left shoulder, but I have been unable to see what it is. Eye color and clothes, evem hair "style" seems to depend on why I'm even there (usually depends on what my summoner has called me for...).

I was actually thinking quite a bit about this today. I'm wondering if I was supposed to be separated from my layers for a reason. Or maybe they were placed there later and I just have things mixed up. I dunno, its all really confusing to be honest. It seems like I'm trying to become more like my core self, but the other parts of me, which are necessary to survive a human existence, may not be necessary anymore once I die/ re-enter heaven. I looks a lot different without my layers on, and I think I discovered where the "Prince" part comes from too. My inner self like radiates the word. So confusing >_<. ok this is what i see when I'm "layerless" : matsuban.deviantart.com/art/The-Angel-inside-me-72503304 if you get any fun vibes please let me know .

I'm afraid I haven't seen much of myself, astrally or otherwise. I only have vague impressions, and so far as I know, they don't really include layers or anything like that, though they might. I might not know what I'm really looking at/for.
I have to agree with the ideas of being able to influence what it is your seeing; if you want to find something badly enough, you'll find it. However, I also believe that for people who are acting in this manner, they KNOW they are acting in this manner on some level. They know, no matter how they're deluding themselves, that they don't really look like a llama. Not REALLY.
That's not to say that EVERYone who seems themselves astrally is deluding themselves intentionally in this manner, or at all. Just that those who DO delude themselves are aware of it, and will let go of that when and if they're faced with it.

I see myself based on how I feel most represents me at that time, or whatever form feels more natural to me than this human form. fav.me/daaelc9 is the form I've been using of late and what I'm well known as in the astral and beyond realms. (By the way, that image is something I did entirely myself.) My wings in the image are what I call "space-saving" size so I don't like sit on them when I sit down because that can hurt. The full wingspan for flight is big enough that the flight feathers would drag on the ground so I rarely use that unless I'm off the ground and in the sky. Otherwise, if I want big wings but not have my feathers drag, I settle for a middle size between the small size depicted in the image and the full size for flight. I, like others from my home, can retract the wings as needed and have a smooth back to all intents and appearances, but personally I adore always having my wings out all the time and maintaining my connection to the Sky World I call home. My twin is different and doesn't have his wings out most of the time, unless he's flying or preening them. (Ref pic here: fav.me/d6v0j8s ) His wings are entirely black with some rainbow iridescence when the light hits them, and he looks very bland and monotone compared to me but that's because he likes that form best and I like mine best and crafted mine specifically to best suit my own personal preferences, personality, and what I feel best captures me. You can look however you want in the Astral but like others said, you tend to have an idea that it's not "accurate" to you if you're looking different, unless of course you're so dead-set on believing this is true for you that you would ignore those signs. But the forms that you take in Astral that feel most comfortable and familiar to you, despite how "unusual" they seem to human eyes, indicate far more about who you are as a person I think than most other things and should be taken into consideration. Those are my thoughts at the very least.
