It's my thought that all angelkin are part peacock  ...really though outside of symbolism/identity/protection...what other uses for wings have any of you found? |

Well obviously the flying component. (I'm wing-obsessed as my twinnie likes to call me. *grins*) I like the social bonding that allogrooming (or mutual grooming) can give you by preening close loved ones' wings and being preened in return. :3 There's warmth for keeping yourself and others warmer. There's expression and body language as well as handy pointing gestures. (Damn humans don't see the wings and I gotta reshuffle the stuff I have in my arms to point with a hand instead. XD) There's telling someone's mood thanks to how expressive they are. There's an extra boost to a jump if needed, and balancing yourself if you are unsteady otherwise. There's comfort because damn it feels good to snuggle with something fluffy and soft. Portable blanket man.  Also built-in badass cloak. B) Also you can do a ...nice tease of your lover with them.~ Since they're so sensitive they can tease YOU with them too.~ And that's all I'm gonna say about that. ;D Really there's loads of good things to say about wings. :3 I just wish mine were physical too so I can get all the benefits again.  |

My wings have grown to be very big, they are jet black in color and the feathers are thick and beautiful
I can only see them in my dreams, and usually I get them in the presence of evil, to fight and fly

Yes, I would love to be able to physically fly again. I think that's the best thing about wings. You can snuggle up in them or cuddle another angel in your wings (obviously this would be a very intimate, love dovey partner thing to do), and you can give the best hugs ever...if you have wings, because you can use arms AND wings. I'm not sure what other things you can do, but flying and having pretty wings is a big deal to me. |
