I think Humanity feels it "makes them special" becuase how many ardvark messiahs have we had? I suppose we have no way of knowing that but still, one could see where humanity would view it as a big deal. The thing is though, I don't believe Jesus saw himself as special in any way, but his followers drummed up most of the really sacred ideas about him. That's what always seems to happen with visionaries.

When I do think about 'Jesus' it is more like: Nice guy and very funny  ;D That is all ... I don't really see him as someone higher ranking. He did a good job on Earth - but history showed many wrong things (to my opinion). Jesus is okay ...  |

Not being Christian, I can't say that I revere Jesus above any other symbol of wisdom. I personally have no problem with him, but I do find it amusing that you can make connections between speeches that Jesus is reported as giving in the New Testament and the words of wisdom that Buddha left much, much earlier.
It's a little irreverent, but I always pictured this in my head: Jesus, after the resurrection, brushed off his robes and nodded to himself. He looked at one of the seraphim or cherubium and said "I think they got the idea. Some of the little guys down there were a bit stiff, but there were enough who understood. They'll take it and run with it, just you watch and see." He went off to chill with a few of the angelic guys, maybe play a few hands of poker. For what would us be a few thousand years later, Jesus turned back around to take a look at the Earth and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. The cards he was holding went everywhere as he jumped to his feet and waved his arms, yelling. "What the @&$^?!?!? I didn't tell them to do THAT! ...I never said THAT either! 'Kill the gays?' What the @#&*$#?!?!? I'm not a Republican! Or a Democrat! I'm not even political!! Guns?!?!? I never even used a STICK!! What the...!!!" *insert a pause as a very timid angel gives Jesus the history of the last few thousand years* "INQUISITION!!!!!! What do those @&$#(#@&@-"
...yeah. I always pictured Jesus's reaction to what humanity did with his advice to be something like that.

God is my Master and my protector and my Lord and Savior. Jesus is indistinguishable. They are one and the same, along with the Holy Spirit in all of us who serve Him.
Jesus has a better sense of humor, though.

I believe/feel Jesus is just like the other ascended humans, like Enoch/metatron, sandalphon, etc. That he was not "the son of God", but simply a man that ascended past above religion, above that which man holds themselves down to. That he and the other ascended humans well ascended. As for effect on me, none of the ascended masters do.

I thoroughly agree with freelanceangel's interpretation of things. xD At the very least it made me and my mate roar with laughter at the thought. It is very relatable! I feel like I've looked away for a brief moment to attend to other universal things before coming back now and being all ".........What. The. F&$^@o@ just happened here?!?!?! E_______E *stunned HORROR*" Seriously, Terran humans will continue to shock and bewilder me with how many ways they can f&%* things up to a boatload of badness. *shakes head*
I've met and talked with Jesus in this life once or twice, same with Mary, and they're good sorts I have to say. :3 I ain't converting to any religion though, even if I did "find Jesus" as those born-again bible thumpers like to say. I have too many issues with how humans have corrupted what was originally said into servicing their bigoted beliefs to want to join any particular religion. *shudder*
Don't expect me to bow down or obey any orders from Jesus or Mary, as good sorts as they may be. I am not one to be ordered around by them. Suggestions work better and I will take their lead in what they have planned for this world along with the other ascended masters of prior human spirits. But I won't be ordered around by anyone because it is not in my nature to accept that.
