Do you find yourself more able to "function better angelically" when listening to certain types of music, or even a specific song? I know i certinly do. One of the talents I had as an angel that i wish i still had was an affinity for playing music. Music is greatly linked to my abilities and yet I can't seem to learn how to play (I can't read music at all, it just makes no sense to me) yet if i hear a song I can play it.
Anyway, what songs do you find empowering? Here's a short list of mine.
Vivaldi - "Gloria" Vivaldi - "Dixis Dominus (and all the songs that go with it)" Beethoven - 9th Symphony (the whole thing) Bach - (certain concertos, especially his harpsichord solos) X Japan - "Kurenai", "Endless rain", "Forever Love" J.A. Spencer - "Angel creation (namely light)", "Zettai Unmei, Mokushiroku (absolute destiny apocalypse), "When, where, who, which?"

Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings", except it's a vocal arrangement. it's on my boyfriend's myspace, and every time i hear it i kind of doze off and feel really happy and at home. also, any Josh Groban or Evanescence songs really give me an energy boost, especially when i sing along with/ dance to them. as for playing my flute/piccolo, or singing at church? WOW what a zap i get then! the only thing close to it i can describe is the effects of drinking 5 double shots of espresso all at once.

I have to concur with the singing in church thing. Musically all I can do well is sing. I like practicing with Vivaldi's vocal arrangements because they are very challenging and ornate in their composition. Also I LOVE LOVE LOVE music sung in Latin. I hate it when people sing the English version of Adeste Fideles. For some reason it grinds against my ears, and it seems to loose its meaning in translation. It sounds so much nicer in Latin and as for the angelic vibes, they're twice fold for me in Latin for some reason.

I find I function better when listening to Symphonic metal. Sonata Arctica, nightwish, within tempatation, startovarius. ect...) I also get a rush from playing my flute and piccolo.

Props for Nightwish and Stratovarious! I get different vibes from Metal, that's if I'm being attacked or laden with really bogged down energy. I just blast the heck out of it with X Japan mostly.

Carmina Burana in its entirety!!!! nightwish, avenged sevenfold, and epica are quite nice in the metal-esque grouping "returns a king" (from the 300 soundtrack) doesn't spark anything kin-ish but does kinda make ya feel like smiting something dies irae!!!!! mozart's requiem in entirety really this song youtube.com/watch?v=DO6ex2Vj3yw (oddly it's also good smiting music to me, perhaps there's a theme) it's rather annoying to admit but nephilim from abingdon boys school is pretty fun that more or less hits the major ones, of course there's volumes of others

You know I was disappointed with the band "Seraphim" on the whole. If that stupid frog sounding guy would just stay silent and let the woman do the singing, I'd love them. Like Nightwish, when men try to "sing metal" in a song, it ends up ruining it.

Music is basically energy.
so that you feel energized by any type of music is probably due to the fact that you are intentionally or unintentionally absorbing the energies or emotions in the music.
Some people in the vampire community use it as a Primary or secondary feeding source.
